Mr. Dinesh Gupta is a highly accomplished and widely travelled professional with over 36 years of experience in the financial and legal domains. As Co-Founder of DSB Law Group, he brings deep expertise across Business Advisory, Corporate and Legal Advisory, Credit Derivatives, Risk Management, Financial Instrument Structuring, Banking and NBFC Regulations, and Taxation Advisory.
He possesses extensive experience in conceptualizing and building robust financial institutions, including NBFCs and various categories of banks. Renowned for his forward-thinking approach, innovation, and strong inclination toward technology, Mr. Gupta has played a key role in structuring and scaling multiple financial entities.
He was closely associated with the establishment of Capital Local Area Bank Ltd., which subsequently transitioned into Capital Small Finance Bank Ltd.—India’s first Small Finance Bank to commence operations in April 2016—where he currently serves as Promoter and Non-Executive Director.
In addition, he has been instrumental in the setup and growth of NBFCs, MFIs, insurance intermediaries, and technology-driven startups. He also serves as an advisor to State Cooperative Banks, Urban Cooperative Banks, NBFCs, and other corporates, and has previously been retained by the National Housing Bank for Market Intelligence. Mr. Gupta is also a respected faculty member and trainer for leading institutions, including ICAI, ICSI, and various academic and professional forums.

Carrying forward the legacy of the firm founded in 1965 by his father, Late Mr. K.M. Gupta, a distinguished legal professional, Mr. Gupta has successfully evolved the organization from a boutique advisory practice into a multi-disciplinary professional services firm with a strong industry presence.
Under his leadership, DSB Law Group operates from key locations including Delhi, Jalandhar, Jaipur, and Ludhiana, and has earned a reputation for excellence, integrity, and client-centric solutions.
